FAQs

How long can the input be?

WhatsApp allows up to ~65,000 characters per message. For very long texts, split them across messages — Günther can hold context across multiple messages.

Can Günther summarize PDFs too?

Yes. Send the PDF directly in chat (up to ~10 MB). Günther extracts the text and summarizes. See also our Document Analysis page.

How good are summaries of technical texts?

GPT-4.1-nano is strong on business, legal, marketing, and general topics. For highly specialized texts (e.g. medical studies), we recommend verifying results against the original.

Are my texts used for training?

No. Günther uses OpenAI via API — per OpenAI's API policy, API data is not used for model training. We additionally delete chats after 30 days automatically.

Can I save a style for recurring summaries?

Via /erinnerung you can tell Günther your preferences, e.g. 'always summarize in 5 bullet points, formal tone'. It's stored as memory and applied on every new summary.
